Artist want to be labeled now (what happened to not wanting to be put in a box)?

I was talking to some people about comedy the other day, and this person labeled the kind of comedy they do in a nice neat little package. Does anyone want to stand out anymore? Why do this if you just want to blend in with the other fucks you are percieved be like. Stand on ya on two man lol.

What is ur voice? Why do people limit themselves. I'm a urban comic, gay, the lady show, alternative, nerd etc. Just be funny. That has always been weird to me. I get it from a business perspective, I guess. You want to be a able market yourself in a certain way, but it comes to a certain point where you just being more of the same. There is a market for you because it's been done to death. Rule of thumb, if what you're doing is accepted right out of the gate chances are you arent doin anything different. People are stupid for the most part, they resist change. You can never be a hack if you have your own mind and own ideas. I guess people don't mind being put in a box anymore, it's easier. In the words of Busta Rhymes: If you don't have anything beneficial to offer the game, DON'T EVEN FUCK WIT IT. WE DONT NEED DEAD WEIGHT ASS MUTHAFUCKERS (start video at 3:17 mark).
