With Niggahs Like U We'd Still Be Slaves (stand up for Treyvon)

I was talking to this black dude the other day and the subject of Treyvon Martin came up. This guy was like he shouldn't have had the hood on. I thought he was joking, but he was serious. It saddens me to think another black man would think this way. The guy who said it is actually a cool ass dude, so it surprised me a little bit, but none the less his stance on this is foolishness. Stand up and be Counted niggah! lol. That's a battered woman approach torwards racism, "oh he hit me because I shouldn't have talked to him like that". There is no excuse for it. Don't blame the victim. I hear on the news of him dressing like a gangster because he has a hoody on. Is that really what gangsters wear, do they not sell hoodys in college campus stores? I see groups of white college kids in hoodies all the time. To say someone should be murdered because of the way they dress just shows that nothing has changed as far as the perceptions of the black man in America.

We have a black president now and that is some progress, but at the end of the day when people see a black young man they don't think Obama. They wonder if  he is  one those "gangstas" they see on t.v. with good lighting. You can look at the election of Obama as white America's black friend. We're not racist we voted for him. Well you know em, he was gradually introduced to your world. He is great guy, you know he isn't violent. It is the black men you don't know that you make assumptions about. In most cases, the approach to a black man in America is one of a pitbull, but in our case no one cares about the justice for our killers. They assume we  provoked the violence and celebrate our killers as upstanding citizens.
