The Party MC (Busy Bee)....Captain Crowd Work...Where are your Jokes Son?

I like the above video of this rap battle between Busy Bee and Kool Mo Dee. It's kind of how I feel after I go up after a comedian who has done well, without telling any jokes. I feel Kool Mo Deeish, like that had no value. I was asked the other day, did I think a certain comedian was funny. I said I do, but in a everyday sense. Not really as a comedian/jokes wise. Some people are just good at working the crowd (no shots), but when it comes down to just telling jokes a little is lost by some. It's a good skill to have to accent to your talent, but I feel it shouldn't be your whole act. At a certain point you will be asked to perform jokes, and be prohibited not to talk to the crowd. The only way to progress as a comedian is joke telling bottom line. I'm not without fault, I definitely could be a little better with this aspect of comedy as well. I share Louis CK sentiments in this video skip to 11 minute mark: http://vod.fxnetworks.com/watch/louie
