So You're A Comedian....so you're a clown right? Naw.......

I've encountered this several times, since becoming a comedian. No, I'm not a clown. I try to make to people laugh with me not at me. There is a big difference.That guy that you laugh at because he does dumb things all the time ie your uncle the barbecue is not a comedian. He is clown/slap stick. A good comedian has cleverness and a unique perspective on life. That what makes them funny. It' not just making a face or being a caricature. Not saying that you can't do that to be funny because it helps, but thats not all it's about. I notice alot girls and popular people say this alot: "I should be a comedian. I crack everyone up I know." Maybe you should be, but what do you really have talk about that is funny to strangers. Your family and friends love you, of course they think your funny.
