It happens to everybody. It's actually not that bad, its what happens after the silence that can ruin ur night. It depends on if you have a jerk as an MC. Its normally the unfunny ones that sees this as their opportunity to get laughs at someones expense. They normally start with some stock "u see this isn't easy" joke etc etc. Like they have never bombed before.
It also depends on the crowd. Are they already angry/not having a good time? If they are get ready for some subtle jabs after the show if you decide to stay. I like this one: when two comics are conversing after the show (one did well and one didn't) and an audience member comes up to the one that did good and shakes his/her hand and says "you were funny". Then looks at the other comedian like "Niggah, you know what you did out there" and walks away. It hurts so good (laughs). Bombing is annoying, but a necessary evil to get better. In the process I hope to learn something and not make bombing for others even more annoying.
